Privacy Policy

On the Spot Mobile Detailing (“On the Spot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile car-detailing service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information about you when you visit our website, book a service, or communicate with us.

By using our service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

When you book a service with us, we collect:

• Contact information: your name, mobile phone number, and email address.
• Vehicle information: the make, model, year, color, and size class of the vehicle to be detailed.
• Service location: the address (and optionally GPS coordinates) where you want the vehicle detailed.
• Service details: the package you selected, any add-ons, and the date and time of your booking.
• Notes you provide: gate codes, parking instructions, or other arrival notes.
• Communications: text messages and emails you exchange with us, including replies to our notifications.

When you visit our website, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information (IP address, browser, page accessed) for security and operational purposes. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, marketing pixels, or behavioral analytics on our customer-facing site.

2. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• Confirm, schedule, and deliver the service you booked.
• Send you booking confirmations, reminders, on-the-way alerts, and any reschedule or cancellation notifications by SMS and email.
• Respond to questions you send us by text, email, or phone.
• Handle payment after the service is complete.
• Improve our service and prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not sell your information. We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. SMS and mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

4. Sharing your information

We share information only with the parties needed to deliver the service you booked, and only the minimum necessary to do so:

• Communications providers: our SMS messages are sent through Twilio, our messaging provider. Twilio handles your phone number and message content solely to deliver our messages to you.
• Hosting and database providers: customer booking information is stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. Our website runs on Vercel.
• Mapping services: when you enter an address, we use Mapbox to look up its coordinates and verify the address is within our service area.
• Payment partners: when applicable. We currently accept payment on arrival via cash, Cash App, Apple Pay, and PayPal — those payment networks process transactions directly between you and us.
• Law enforcement or legal process: if required by valid subpoena, court order, or applicable law.

5. Data retention

We keep booking records and message logs for as long as needed to provide service, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and maintain a working customer history. You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

You may at any time:

• Access the information we hold about you.
• Correct information that’s wrong.
• Delete your information from our systems, subject to limited exceptions for records we’re legally required to retain.
• Opt out of SMS by replying STOP to any message you receive from us, or by contacting us directly.

8. Children’s privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email when feasible. Continued use of our service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
